Welcome to our home

So I thought I would share our home with you room by room. I decided to start with the girl's room since it's one of my favorites. I remember waiting for Krista to be born, still a very busy little baby in my belly. I could hardly wait for her arrival. I took such joy in fixing up the room with help from a gal from church, Katherine. Kayla was thrilled to have her room fixed up and painted. I think she was just as excited as I was.
I am particulary proud of this rocker. It was a gift from Eric when I had Luke and was covered with a blue jean material. I couldn't find the material I wanted so I covered it with a $7 fabric shower curtain. Notice the ties around the footstool, that's what you would use to attach it to the rod....it made a nice trim. :-)
These shelves were a $7 bargin from Hobby Lobby clearance that were a dark green color. It's amazing what a little paint will do.
You'd never believe it, but these five wire flowers are actually hot plate holders from the Dollar Store. I just wired them together and they fit perfectly above the closet.

So creative and fun Jean Marie!! I love it!! I am in the process of "overhauling" the boys rooms right now...and it is truly alot of fun.

Your girls' room is PERFECT! I just love it!!! It looks like it belongs in a Martha Stuart Baby Magazine :) Oh, I just LOVE what you did with your glider rocker, I would have never guessed it was a shower curtain at first!!!

Wow.

Double Wow.

Turning green over here wow.

This nursery is amazing! What I wouldn't give for a coordinated room for the children, but renting won't allow paint and boys and girls sharing a room won't allow pink.

Maybe someday I'll have several of each and a home that is ALL Mine and then I will have SO much fun! In the meantime, I will live vicariously through you (and file away all these good ideas!)

It is positively LOVELY. The pink is JUST the right shade, it is bright and cheery, spacious and best of all---made by the ingenuity and creativity of Mama! To steal a common thought from Peter Pan (which of course, I am inundated with these days) "Oh, the cleverness of you!"

I am VERY anxious to see the rest of your house! It will be like a virtual visit! I'll bring some brownies! :-)
