Nothing says 'I love you' like a ..... DYSON????

How silly of me! I almost forgot to post my Valentine's gift from Eric!

I can't believe I'm going to say this... I LOVE MY VACUUM!
Mr. UPS delivered the big yellow and black box with DYSON written all over it. Believe me, I was skeptical.
After using for several time now I can honestly say:
It lives up to all the hype and is worth every penny. You know you don't realize how dirty your floor really is until you have a good vacuum. The stuff that this picks up is AMAZING! It really does work like the commercials say. It does NOT lose suction. The Dyson is so easy to push that I can actually vacuum with my left arm while balancing Krista on my right! I even carried it down the hall with one hand and Krista! We had a 2 year old Bissell and I thought it did a good job, despite some minor querks: The foot lever broke a couple of weeks ago. It won't lock into the upright position. I had to keep washing out the filter.

We had a Kirby salesman come to the door and prove to me that the Bissell was not doing such a good job.

The Kirby blew away the Bissell.
The Dyson blew away the Kirby.

The Dyson is half the price and half the weight. Not to mention, it picked up stuff the Kirby left behind. I wish I would have taken pictures of the stuff it picked up after vacuuming the same spot as the Kirby--- and that was AFTER vacuuming and shampooing with the Kirby. Really and truly this is a wonderful product. I vacuum twice a week and we have put vacuums to the test. Kenmore, Bissell, Kirby don't have anything on the DYSON!

My hubby knows just what I need!
Nothing says 'I love you' like a DYSON!!!!!!!

I so know what you mean! We've had our dyson now for over a year and I am still amazed at how much it picks up every time I vaccuum.

I love thoughtful gifts! My hubby twice bought me a camera, the first a professional style older canon, and 2 Christmas's ago a nice new digital zoom camera. I have used it and used it and used it!
Enjoy that vacuum and the ease of cleaning efficiently :) Your old vacuum sounds a bit like mine :)

Turning GREEN over here!---er, yellow? ;-)

We have one of those bagless vacs and we have used it for five years. Now, the filter thing is SO old and gross (even after cleaning it after each use) that it is not working well...but when I went scouting out new filters-there are none to be had! Apparently, they come out with new vacuums as frequently as they do cars!

Still not sure what we are going to do about it...maybe an upgrade would be a good idea? If so...I am glad to know what you think about Dyson. Maybe my head has been in my own vacuum's canister too long, but I had never heard of one before! I have heard of Kirby-and I like the sound of Dyson blowing it out of the water in quality AND price....

So glad you got such a wonderful gift!

We have the animal Dyson vacuum and I absolutely love it!! We don't have the dog anymore, but I still think it does an amazing job! I had wanted one for so long and finally got it and it was totally worth the price.

Ok, so this is a bit of an old post... but I just got a dyson (partly because of you). I am in complete love. I didn't that vacuuming was actually fun. Wow. And since we have a dog and cat that are in the house WAY to much, it has been amazing (and eye opening) to see all of the DIRT in my dyson.

Thanks for the recommendation.
PS- My husband is currently working on building a new operations center for his squadron. They have four of those HUGE generators which your husband is working on in the pictures below. I don't know what he does in his building but apparently it requires a lot of power (the building is not that big; maybe 3000 sq ft).

I mention the generators because when my husband was showing me around the outside of his new building he pointed to the four generators and said, "Look! they're like the ones on Jean Marie's blog". I didn't know what he was talking about because I was so focused on the dyson post above the generator pictures I didn't remember it until he showed me today. :)
