Praying for our Children

The topic for Mom's Group this year is prayer. We are going through the book, "The Power of a Praying Parent" by Stormie OMartian. Though I do not agree with everything she says, I have found this book to be one of the best books on how to put together a prayer list for your children.
Since this is my blog, I've decided to extend the challenge to those who read my blog.
PRAY
This challenge is simple.
PRAY

It is the power of God that penetrates a child's life when a parent prays.
When we pray we humble ourselves before God. We CANNOT do it on our own. By not relying on God to care for our children, through prayer, we are allowing the sin of pride to enter our hearts. Pride is the very doorway that allows all other sin to enter. We need to seek Christ when we pray, in His name. It is through Christ that we are able to commune with our Father. All that needs to happen and is planned for our children cannot occur without the presence of God and His power. You must seek Him and rely on Him.

How do we get started?
Begin with a list and update it with personal requests.
Use Scripture.
Pray continually.
Submit yourself before your Father to help guide you to lead His children He's entrusted to your care.

Twice a month we will cover two chapters of the book, "The Power of A Praying Parent"
I invite you to share in this journey with me.

I am so thankful that you are studying this subject in your mom's group. It is the most important thing one can do for their children (and grandchildren).
