Happy 4th of July!

We had an awesome annual Fourth of July party! I was a little worried everyone might not make it since we waited so long to get word out.
Eric cooked the best brisket he's ever made and everyone brought some yummy sides. There were tons of kids, (they outnumbered the adults), and the fireworks were even better than last year. (Thanks Bill & Eric!)
In addition to all the fun we added a new family to our circle of friends:
Bill, Amy, Emma & Jake.
How do we know them?
Eric and Bill used to run around together when they were younger. Then, they met up again when we discovered Emma and Luke were in the same preschool class. Recently, they moved to a new home just 5 miles from our house! Amy and I couldn't help but laugh at the guys as they shot off fireworks. "The Dynamic Duo" back in action years later!

As we cleaned up on Saturday, I took a minute to reflect on what a blessing all our friends and church family are. God has really blessed our family with a wonderful circle of friends.
