This is my pride and joy. I worked last year on separating and digging out old bushes (thanks to my hubby's muscles) to make room for new plants. This year it's been so much fun to see God's creation spring up and the His beauty magnified.
Most of the plants I purchased last year on clearance at Walmart after they had bloomed. I planted them not knowing if they would survive, but for $1 a plant it was worth it. I have 6 mums, 5 hydranga plants and all the pink lilies ($2 per plant). Beka was kind enough to share her Columbine, Bleeding Heart and Stone Crop this year and I can't wait for it come back next year!
The kids and I gathered car loads of rocks from the neighboring fields this year and they look awesome! (Not to mention the price was just right... free).
I can't wait to show you the rest and tell you about the plant exchange I hosted!

Your yard looks simply wonderful. You have done such a great job with it. All your work was not in vain - even if you did it in the hot sun and was in the third trimester last summer!!! :-) It makes me really want to work on my yard so I can see the fruit next year. Well done!
great job! Those flowers look so beautiful, just walking outside must make you so happy!
I am glad to hear you ended up doing a plant exchange and am anxious to hear how it went!
Jean, your yard looks great!!
